ABMP is requesting clarification as to whether the proposed continuing education requirement in ethics is part of the total 6-hour continuing education (CE) requirement, or in addition to it. We are opposing any additional ethics CE requirement beyond the total 6-hour CE requirement, and are proposing that the requirement consist of 5 hours of scope and practice CE plus one hour of ethics CE per year. Additionally, we are asking that the state continue to allow people who passed an NCBTMB exam sometime in the past to qualify for licensure.
