Emergency rule 175:20-5-3.1 was approved by Governor Stitt as a workaround for lapsed renewals of those whose licenses lapsed between March 17, 2020, and January 31, 2021.
If your massage therapy license was inactive or expired between the period of March 17, 2020, through January 31, 2021, you are eligible to renew your license. As with all renewals, the requirements for renewal include submitting a renewal form, proof of insurance, continuing education units, applicable back penalties, and fees. The renewal for those who expired between March 17, 2020, and January 31, 2021, must be submitted by December 31, 2021.
- Continuing education: 5 CEs per year
- Expired license penalty: $10 per year
- Renewal fee: $50 (one-year license) or $100 (two-year license)
As a reminder, the ABMP Education Center is the perfect place to fulfill your CE hours. The ABMP Education Center allows members access to 200-plus hours of free continuing education.
