Arizona Board of Massage Therapy Seeks New Board Member

Are you interested in serving on the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy? There is currently one seat open to a licensed massage therapist on the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy (Board), and Governor Ducey’s office is looking for qualified applicants. ABMP encourages interested and eligible members to consider applying for an appointment, as it’s a way to become more engaged in the profession.

The Arizona Board consists of five members appointed by the governor. To qualify for an appointment, candidates must be residents of Arizona, hold an unrestricted Arizona massage therapy license, and have at least five years of massage therapy experience. Board members serve five-year terms.

To apply:

  1. Visit the governor’s Board and Commissions Application webpage.
  2. Select “Massage Therapy, Board of” under the Board/Commission Interest dropdown menu.
  3. Fill out the required information.

The purpose of the Board is to regulate the practice of massage therapy and massage therapy programs in the state of Arizona. The Board determines license qualifications, assesses applications, issues licenses to qualified individuals, develops standards for continuing education, evaluates massage therapy programs, and adopts and revises massage therapy rules for the safety of the public. Help shape the future of Arizona massage therapy and apply for a Board appointment.
