In early February, the Alabama legislature introduced Senate Bill 37, which would adopt the Interstate Massage Compact and simplify interstate massage practice. Write a letter to your representatives if you believe an interstate license would benefit massage therapists.
If you were due to renew your license in June, you must renew your license before July 31, 2024. There are also new license renewal requirements under the newly formed Alabama Massage Therapy Licensing Board; find out what you must submit with your renewal application.
