New CE Course: Massage & Bodywork Magazine May-June 2023

M&B May-June 2023 CE Course

The newest Massage & Bodywork magazine CE course, “2023, Issue 3: Massage & Bodywork Magazine May-June 2023,” is now available in the ABMP Education Center to read and earn 2.5 CE hours.

Massage & Bodywork magazine is a thought leader in the field of massage therapy and is distributed broadly—both directly to members of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and to the entire field through the free digital edition. With each issue, Massage & Bodywork readers are exposed to a variety of pertinent and timely information affecting not only their practice, but the profession as a whole. From specific hands-on techniques to recent research on touch therapies to practice- and business-building ideas, Massage & Bodywork offers readers vetted, informed material that directly ties back to a practitioner’s hands-on work. The ABMP Massage & Bodywork magazine CE courses allow learners to earn CE credit by reading the issue and passing an online quiz.

In this issue and CE course, we explore origin, insertion, and joint action terminology and whether it is actually obscuring the simplicity of muscle function. Other topics include information on the Attention Button for client and MT safety, lower crossed syndrome, lumbar disc and myofascial pain, a deep dive into arthrofibrosis and massage, percussion therapy for self-care, learning ways to keep business and personal life separate, and suggestions for making the neurodivergent client’s massage experience more enjoyable.

The May-June 2023 issue of Massage & Bodywork magazine features contributions from various authors, including Laura Allen, Ben Benjamin, Cal Cates, Rachelle Clauson, Erik Dalton, Allison Denney, Chelle Doetsch, Allissa Haines, Lance Hostetter, David Lesondak, Whitney Lowe, Til Luchau, Joe Muscolino, Douglas Nelson, Cynthia Price, Heath and Nicole Reed, Michael Reynolds, Nicole Trombley, Ruth Werner, and Cindy Williams.

The ABMP Education Center, where ABMP members earn free CE, is home to 750+ online massage and bodywork CE hours. These on-demand courses are available for nonmembers to purchase as individual courses or in discounted multi-course packages.
