Healwell (www.healwell.org) has launched a new podcast titled Massage Therapy Without Borders. Hosted by Cathy Ryan, RMT, and Cal Cates, LMT, the podcast aims to “use research, science, experience, and humor to explore the differences and similarities in the practice, regulation, education trends, and so much more of the 'landscape' of the massage therapy profession in Canada, the United States, and beyond.”
The first three episodes are available at www.healwell.org/podcasts, iTunes, and other podcast outlets. Guests so far have included Donelda Gowan and Pam Fitch, and episodes are focused on inviting massage therapists and bodyworkers into conversation about topics affecting the field.
Healwell is a growing team of massage therapists who work with children at Children’s National Hospital and also with adults at numerous other hospitals and clinical facilities. Founded in 2010, Healwell trains massage therapists across the country to support meaningful integration of massage therapy in partnership with hospitals.
