Global Wellness Institute Launches Sustainability Initiative

The Global Wellness Institute announced the launch of its Sustainability Initiative, with the purpose of stimulating a provocative discussion about how wellness interacts on a personal level and on a wider social, economic, and environmental scale.

The initiative’s aim is to deepen the understanding of how individual well-being can be a source of wellness and is intimately linked to the health of a society and the environment. It will examine underlying relationships on a philosophical and practical level, and how these issues translate to consumer and investor value, long-term development, and a fundamental shift in paradigm for economy, wealth and vitality.

The Sustainability Initiative is chaired by Bonnie Baker, managing partner and co-founder of Satteva Spa and Wellness Concepts, Mexico. Baker brings more than 25 years of experience in the spa industry and a lifelong passion for well-being. She has worked with award-winning spa companies around the world and is a board member of the Green Spa Network.
