Texas Massage Therapy Advisory Board Vacancies

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is looking to fill two vacancies on the Texas Massage Therapy Advisory Board (Advisory Board) with qualified applicants: one seat is open for a licensed massage therapist and one seat is open to a public member.

Am I Qualified?
Candidates applying for the massage therapist vacancy must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a resident of Texas
  2. Hold a current and active massage therapy license

Candidates applying for the public member vacancy must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a resident of Texas
  2. Have no connection to the massage therapy profession either personally or professionally

About the Advisory Board
The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide advice and recommendations to TDLR on technical matters relevant to massage therapy. The Advisory Board is comprised of nine members appointed by the officer of the TDLR. Members serve staggered six-year terms. The Advisory Board meets virtually, as needed. Note: Members are not compensated or reimbursed, as this is not a paid position.
