We recently notified you that the Oklahoma Cosmetology Board would start accepting grandfathering license applications after August 25, 2016. That is no longer the case. There is new information posted on the Board’s website stating:
URGENT!!!
MASSAGE THERAPY APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE GOVERNOR HAS APPOINTED AN ADVISORY BOARD AND EMERGENCY RULES HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
PLEASE WATCH FOR UPDATES ON OUR WEBSITE FOR FURTHER UPDATES.
The Board’s website previously stated that applications would accepted as of August 25, 2016, but that statement has been removed.
Therefore, do not send in your license application until further notice.
We do not know exactly when the Board will start accepting applications, but we will keep checking the Board’s website for updates, and we’ll let you know of any important new information posted there. You should check the website periodically as well if you’re able to.
