New Mexico Reissues Statewide Mask Mandate

The New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department released a statement providing additional information on the latest Public Health Order issued by Governor Lujan-Grisham on August 17, 2021.

The Public Health Order reimplements a statewide mask mandate in New Mexico. Facemasks must be worn in all indoor public spaces—regardless of a person’s vaccination status—with limited exceptions.

Beginning Friday, August 20, 2021, all individuals two years and older must wear a mask or face covering in all indoor public settings except when eating or drinking, unless a health-care provider instructs otherwise.
