Re: The New Mexico Massage Board is seeking nominations for three vacant positions—two professional members and one public member.
Professional member vacancies are for New Mexico massage therapists who are licensed.
Public members and their spouses cannot have been licensed by the Massage Therapy Board at any time, nor can they have a financial interest in a school or establishment. Public members must also be New Mexico residents.
The Role of a Board Member
Board appointments are four-year terms. Members are responsible for overseeing the practice of massage therapy in New Mexico. Duties include overseeing licensure applications and renewals, adopting rules and regulations, establishing school curricula and instructor qualifications, and investigating complaints for disciplinary issues.
