Maine Deregulation Bill Has Died

We are pleased to report that the Maine massage therapy and aesthetics deregulation bill introduced this year, LD1036/SP342, has died in the state legislature. The bill will not become law, and state licensing for massage therapists and aestheticians remains in place. We would like to thank all of you who got involved, contacted your legislators, and even went in person to key legislative meetings to voice your opposition to the deregulation proposal. Your involvement was critical to the effort to defeat this bill. Thank you!
