ABMP notified you of House Bill 2400 (HB 2400) in February 2021. If it had passed, HB 2400 would have required statewide licensure for massage therapists in Kansas, effective at the end of the 2021 legislative cycle.
The bill was referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services, but did not receive a hearing in the committee and therefore never moved forward this year. ABMP received confirmation that a licensing bill will be introduced in the 2022 legislative session.
