Certified massage therapists in Indiana need to renew their certification by May 15, 2021.
Certifications expire on May 15 every fourth year (2021, 2025, 2029). The renewal fee is $150. Certified massage therapists are required to hold professional liability insurance to practice massage therapy in Indiana. A copy of your certificate of your professional liability insurance should be submitted with your renewal. The renewal form will ask for bond insurance. This is the insurance certificate you have with ABMP. You are able to upload your certificate of insurance where they ask for bond insurance. Be sure to renew by May 15, 2021, as those who have renewed their certification will roll over to licensure seamlessly when licensure comes into effect.
Online renewal is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for most license renewals. To renew your license by paper copy, you must print and mail a completed Massage Therapy Renewal Form along with the required renewal fee and proof of insurance to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
For those who let their certifications lapse in the last three years, it is possible to become certified again by completing the Massage Therapy Reinstatement Form, and sending the required renewal fee along with proof of insurance to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
