New Mexico Reissues Statewide Mask Mandate

A new Public Health Order issued August 17, 2021, reimplements a statewide mask mandate in New Mexico. Facemasks must be worn in all indoor public spaces—regardless of a person’s vaccination status—with limited exceptions.

New Mexico COVID-19 State Update—Permission to Practice June 1, 2020

New Mexico Department of Health Secretary Kunkel issued a Public Health Emergency Order today, permitting close contact businesses, including barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, massage therapy establishments, and esthetician clinics, to resume business operations June 1, 2020, at 25 percent occupancy.

New Mexico Passes Senate Bill 200

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed into law New Mexico Senate Bill 200. This law amends the Massage Therapy Practice Act in several ways. The law now includes a definition of continuing education (CE) and continuing education providers.
