The continuing education courses provide video demonstrations of hands-on massage techniques, and ABMP members can earn free CE hours by watching the webinars and completing a quiz.

"Intelligent Deep-Tissue Massage: Part 2—Upper Body" with Eric Stephenson:
The purpose of the class is to introduce simple but effective techniques therapists may employ to extend their careers and avoid injury and burnout, while ensuring a stellar experience for clients.
 
"Intelligent Deep-Tissue Massage: Part 3—Lower Body" with Eric Stephenson: This course teaches therapists of all experience levels a safe and effective approach for addressing the lower body when performing Intelligent Deep-Tissue Massage in standing and seated postures. The purpose of the class is to introduce simple but effective techniques a therapist may employ to extend their career and avoid injury and burnout, while ensuring the therapist provides a stellar client experience.

This class has literally saved me. As a fledgling therapist I am still learning proper biomechanics. I wish schools would add this element to their learning modules. It might save someone’s career.

Louisiana Bill Proposes Massage Program Hour Increase

Effective October 1, 2024, Louisiana massage students will no longer be eligible for federal financial aid because massage programs are limited by Louisiana law. But there is a solution: Senate Bill 353 will increase the required education hours for massage licensure from 500 to 625. ABMP fully supports this bill, and we explain why you should too.
