New Winter 2017 Issue of Body Sense

The newest issue of ABMP’s award-winning magazine Body Sense is available for members to share with clients. The client-education publication is designed to educate consumers on the lasting benefits of frequent massage and bodywork and the value of good stress management.

The issue, available at www.bodysensemagazinedigital.com, includes the following features:

Your MT’s 10 Favorite Stretches”: Here are easy stretches you can do between massage sessions to target common areas of pain and stress.

Inviting Relaxation”: Have you ever been on the massage table and found it challenging to relax or let go? Read on for insight on why you can’t let the tension go.

A Seasonal Soak”: If you find slowing down difficult to do, don’t worry. You’re not alone. At home, a perfect slow-down activity is a good soak. Create your own soothing soak with these tips.

1. Log in to the Members section of ABMP.com and choose "Website Builder" from the left sidebar under "Quick Links."

2. Click on "Manage Pages."

3. From the menu that says "New/Blank Page" select the "Body Sense magazine" page and click the "Add Page" button.

4. Then click the "Save Changes" button to publish.

Alaska Massage Board Remains Independent and Autonomous

Executive Order No. 129 sought to dissolve the Alaska Board of Massage Therapists and transfer its functions to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (DCCED). The executive order was successfully overturned.
