The New Mexico Massage Therapy Board (Board) met August 16, 2021, and readdressed ongoing continuing education issues due to COVID-19 for the 2021 renewal cycle. Last year at the August 2020 meeting, the Board extended the time for licensees to obtain live continuing education credits until six months after the end of the Executive Order. The Board made the decision to do the same for those renewing in 2021.
Live CEs are still required for both the 2020 and 2021 renewal cycles. However, licensees have six months after the governor’s Executive Order expires to take the live courses. When renewing online, request a waiver if you do not have live CEs completed for the renewal cycle.
