The Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists (Board) voted at the May 2021 board meeting to extend the waiver that removes late fees for license renewals and to keep continuing education (CE) requirements at the statutorily required 12 hours. These efforts are to assist licensed massage therapists during the transition into a post-COVID-19 working environment.
The 12 CE hours may be contact or non-contact. To help you earn your CE, we invite you to visit the ABMP Education Center, where ABMP members have access to 200 plus hours of free continuing education. ABMP Certified members have access to an additional 400 hours of continuing education through the World Massage Conference library of courses.
The waiver extension is effective July 1, 2021, and will continue for 12 months after the end of Governor Brown’s Executive Orders related to COVID-19.
