Kentucky Removes Establishment Licensing

ABMP has verified that amendments will be made to Kentucky House Bill 79 (HB 79) and the requirement for massage establishment licenses will be removed from the bill. Also removed from the bill is the reporting provision that required massage establishments to report unlicensed individuals practicing massage therapy.

HB 79 has been referred to the Senate Standing Committee Health & Welfare, but a date has not yet been announced for the bill to be heard in committee. You can send commentary to the committee members using this easy-to-follow advocacy email template courtesy of ABMP to voice your opinion. Simply fill out the email template with the appropriate information. This link will take you to all committee member email addresses.
