ABMP Named Association of the Year

Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) is proud to be named Association of the Year once again by the World Massage Festival. Festival cofounder Mike Hinkle presented the crystal trophy to ABMP Vice President Communication Leslie Young at the industry awards ceremony during the festival on August 7. This year’s event was held at Harrah’s in Atlantic City and attracted more than 700 practitioners and 40 exhibitors.

In accepting the award on behalf of ABMP, Young applauded the massage therapists in attendance for acknowledging the value of association membership. She underscored that members should take advantage of all the benefits—continuing education, marketing materials, websites and more—their association crafts for them.

The World Massage Festival started in Pensacola, Florida, in 2006 and has been hosted at various US locations since. Hinkle says the Association of the Year honor was launched in 2008 and ABMP has won it every year.

The 2017 World Massage Festival is set for May 7–10, at Harrah’s in Cherokee, North Carolina, and ABMP is proud to sponsor the event once again. For more information, visit www.worldmassagefestival.com.
