COVID-19 Updates for Massage Therapists

Your professional association is monitoring the situation around COVID-19 (coronavirus) and, as always, is focused on providing you outstanding service and support.

ABMP will continue to update our members about ways they can take advantage of any relief opportunities created in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. We will continue to offer excellent service to our members, striving to live up to our motto: expectmore.

Please continue to visit www.abmp.com/covid-updates for regular updates as they develop.

Community Q&A Webinar

ABMP held a live Community Q&A webinar for the massage profession in late March. Authors Ruth Werner and Allissa Haines, ABMP President Les Sweeney, and ABMP Director of Professional Education Kristin Coverly shared updates on the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and fielded viewer questions.

As massage therapists navigate the changes in their lives and businesses, this webinar offers an opportunity to come together as a community and stay informed. The live event was recorded and is available for viewing in the ABMP Education Center at www.abmp.com/learn.

Meditate & Move

Beginning on March 23, we posted new self-care videos on our ABMP Facebook page. We featured several different hosts who took us through meditation, stretches, exercises, and yoga. Our first week featured Angie Parris-Raney, LMT, Chopra Center Certified; second week featured authors and educators Heath and Nicole Reed; and our third week featured massage therapist and yoga instructor Cindy Williams. More is scheduled for the future, so be sure to visit www.facebook.com/ABMPpage to see the initiative.
