Please Note Changes to Wisconsin State Certification Program for Massage and Bodywork Therapists The Department of Regulation and Licensing has amended administrative rules for state certification as a massage therapist or bodyworker and has changed the requirements for renewal of certification. The next renewal deadline is March 1, 2009. As of September 1, 2008:

Grandfathering Deadline Extended in Massachusetts The grandfathering provision deadline has been extended for massage therapists in Massachusetts. The original deadline of May 1, 2008, has been extended to December 1, 2009. If you have not yet applied for a license, the application instructions and application can be found at: www.mass.gov/dpl/boards/mt.

West Virginia

The West Virginia Massage Therapy Licensure Board is now accepting the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) offered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB: www.fsmtb.org) as a qualification for licensure.
