Faster Than the Speed of Light

Implications for Healers

By Cyndi Dale
[Energy Work]

For decades, famous greats including Albert Einstein have insisted that it’s impossible for an object or person to travel faster than the speed of light. According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, the quicker an object moves, the heavier it becomes.1
Most of us don’t spend much time musing about surpassing the speed of light. I’m not sure I want to. But, as healers, the issue is actually important. Engaging energetically beyond the light barrier is equivalent to providing instant healing.
Healers across time have frequently considered their abilities supernatural or able to operate beyond natural law. Medicine people, shamans, faith healers, diviners, hands-on healers, and intuitives have consistently served as mediums between the heavens and earth. These days, we explain supernatural phenomena as involving subtle energy, which, as compared to physical energy, is immeasurable—or faster than the speed of light.
As healers, our ultimate goal is helping our clients create positive change as quickly as possible. We can’t control the outcome of a healing. The muscle pain might not disappear and the spine with scoliosis might not straighten. Yet, by directing subtle rather than only physical energy—energy defined as information that moves—a client might experience a moment of forgiveness, relief from a heartache, a day of pain relief, or an intuitive insight brilliant as the sun.
How might we shift energy faster than the speed of light in our own practices? I cull a few suggestions from each one of the following theories that might help you accomplish this goal.

The Theory of Higher Dimensions
One explanation for the sometimes-magical results of healing is that there are higher dimensions that operate under different rules than those ruling our everyday reality. In the physical world, matter only operates at speeds lower than the speed of light. But around and within the physical domain are higher realms, which some describe as a “negative space time.” In this dimension, particles can move faster than light.2
As a healer, what does this theory imply for you? It means that everywhere you go, there is an available space in which to create vital transformations. This negative space seemingly cancels out the typical rules of engagement. By connecting with this area, which I believe lies within all of us, we can shift energy for ourselves and a client, moving clients toward higher outcomes.

Connect to Negative Space
Negative space isn’t actually a specific place. It has been defined and redefined in many ways and in numerous cultures. Basically, the subtle energy anatomy is a layering of negative space.
A quick and easy description of the subtle energy anatomy is as a complex structure composed of interrelated subtle energy bodies, channels, and fields. Specific types of these energetic forms include the chakras, meridians, and auric fields. Healing is accelerated when you deliberately interact with any of these or other subtle energy structures while performing your massage work. When working on a client’s abdomen, why not also knowingly relate to their second chakra, which is located in that area? How about pressing some of the access points, or acupoints, for the related meridian, or drawing healing energy into the related subtle auric field, found outside the body? Most of my books reveal ways to access these energetic structures, and there are thousands of additional books and articles on this topic written by other experts.

Faster Car Theory
What if the key to quicker transformation is to change approaches? This is equivalent to trading in a slow car for a faster car.
The basis of this proposition is that Einstein’s theory of relativity applies to energy that has mass. But not everything has mass. Scientists point out that empty space, which isn’t concrete, has no mass. Well-known astrophysicist Michio Kaku says space—or a vacuum—can expand faster than the speed of light because it is completely empty.3 When working on a client, we must leave “full space” and access what’s called “vacuum space,” comparable to the “Nothing” as discussed in spiritual paths such as Buddhism. Many Eastern meditation techniques, such as deep breathing, clearing the mind, and meditating, enable us to disengage from the somethings we so ruthlessly attend to and reach into the void of possibilities within our soul. In the stillness, we can move any speed we want.

Find The Void
As insinuated, many Eastern holistic practices, as well as Western spiritual and healing modalities, enable connection to the empty space within. Meditative breathing techniques, movements, music, and more are available.
When linking with another person, the key is to realize that everyone has a spiritual core and to release judgments and preconceptions. Ultimately, enabling ourselves—and our client—to open to the Nothing that enables instantaneous shifts is to release our own ideas about how a client should improve, and to remain focused in the moment. The great Christian mystic Meister Eckhart said, “Only the hand that erases can write the true thing.”
By surrendering into the moment, by putting aside our preconceptions, we open to our intuition, which can inspire our words, actions, and attitudes, toward that which can make a real difference.

Entanglement Theory
A third theory related to faster-than-light travel, and my personal favorite, is the theory of entanglement. Entanglement is one of many hypotheses related to quantum mechanics, the study of the very small particles composing the universe. Even more specifically, it’s the study of how those subatomic particles communicate with each other. The basic idea is that once two particles connect, even when separated by vast distances, they continue to affect each other.
A team of physicists led by Juan Yin at the University of Science and Technology of China in Shanghai assigned a speed to the communication between photons, or wave-particles of light, that were separated after being linked. They examined the state of one photon and timed how long it took for a change to be reflected in its partner, which was about 10 miles away. They asserted that the slowest speed of the communique was 10,000 times the speed of light.4
What this means is that your attitude, desires, and hopes can immediately impact your client, both during and after your interaction. Of course, they are also being affected by all the other people they know as well.
The more powerfully we believe in a client’s advancement and evolution, the stronger our effect. At some level, our beliefs could potentially cancel out a client’s negative attachments and even their own pessimism. Even better, we can support our client in believing in their own ability to heal and change. Available to us all, however, is a force even greater than ourselves, which we can connect to anytime.
Whatever we call the Creator—God, Allah, Christ, the Goddess, Goodness, or the Universal Consciousness—this being could also be defined as the Great Entangler. If there is a oneness, then it is already connected with everything and everyone. By definition, a creator-being or loving force would be equivalent to a parent, wishing only wellness on its children. During a session, if we can link with our own version of this consciousness, we interconnect our client to it. The result is access to all powers of healing and light—including the light that can move faster than itself.

Access the Great Entangler
Follow your instinct, professional training, and the flow of the session, but turn the outcome over to this presence. Would not the creator of light be able to direct the situation with the quickest of lights to the highest of heights? Individuals often use not only meditative techniques, but also prayer and contemplation, to enable this bond.
As you explore, you’ll come to know which facets of each theory to apply in various instances with your many clients. Enjoy the energetic applications—in your own time.
