In the United States, the most common form of cancer is skin cancer and the survival rate for patients whose melanoma is detected early is over 97 percent. This workshop will teach the massage therapist to scan the skin, educate your client, and refer to a qualified dermatologist.

Annie Powell
Annie Powell is the president and co-founder of The World Skin Project. Powell is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and the Florida College of Natural Health. While studying massage therapy, Powell was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Powell is head therapist and wholistic medical assistant for the Wholistic Medicine Clinics in Florida and maintains an on-site clientele in Connecticut. Learn more at http://www.worldskin.org.
