Video Course: The Placebo Effect in Manual Therapy

Brian Fulton

The placebo effect is more than sugar pills—it's a phenomenon that is present in virtually every medical encounter. Join Brian Fulton as he helps you understand this healing phenomenon and, more specifically, how the placebo effect impacts your practice as a massage professional. You’ll be surprised to learn the various factors that affect treatment outcomes, both in a positive and a negative manner, that are completely unrelated to your hands-on skills. And you’ll be introduced to some interesting ethical questions that are raised once you realize your power to control the placebo effect.
