Video Course: Medical Massage in Postsurgical Rehabilitation

In this presentation you’ll learn theoretical concepts and see a hands-on demonstration of Russian medical massage in cases of postsurgical rehabilitation. You’ll learn about the management of postsurgical lymphedemas, fascia release and mobilization, muscle mobilization, scar tissue management, stimulation of diffusion process, trigger point therapy, and post isometric relaxation technique. You’ll also find out about the neuromatrix theory and how it applies to cases of postsurgical rehabilitation.

Boris Prilutsky
Boris Prilutsky has been teaching and practicing medical and sports massage for over 40 years. He is the founder of the Southern California Health Institute school of massage, physical therapy aide and chiropractor assistants program in Los Angeles. He graduated with a degree in physical education in the Ukraine, completed postgraduate physical rehabilitation study in Leningrad, and graduated from medical college in Israel, with a major in chiropractic medicine. He's worked with Olympic teams from the former Soviet Union for 20 years. Prilutsky has trained thousands of therapists worldwide and continues to treat clients in California.
