Video Course: Ethics in Action

Suzanne Scurlock-Durana

This workshop summarizes how to set healthy boundaries with clients and how to use your therapeutic presence in an ethical manner. Healthy boundaries are critical for the discernment of ethical and nonethical feelings, tendencies, and behaviors in the treatment room. The skills of full-body presence develop and enhance somatic and boundary awareness and provide the tools necessary to be grounded and energetically full. This course contains the theoretical framework of how permeable, semipermeable, and rigid boundaries are necessary for dealing ethically with the intimacy of the therapeutic connection in bodywork. All of these skills enable you to establish and maintain ethical professional relationships.
